Vedette Lance Missiles
Another project is the building of Vedette Lance Missiles type COMBATTANTE II , a kit of New Maquette. The fast missile patrol boats of the class 148 were built in 1970-74 in France (C, Mecaniques, Cherbourg) and Germany (Lurssen, Vegesack) as steel hulled for the Jaguar Class. They were signed to counter the constant improving combat advantage of the Warsaw Pact's Baltic fleet. The main ormament is the two twin launchers for the MM 38 EXOCET surface-to-surface missiles for employment against enemy landing and surface ships, furthermore, the two Oto Melara/Bofors guns are design to rotate against air attacks. This ship is build on scale 1:40 and will be radio controlled. We start building this model in the winter of 2009. Follow the building of this model in our photo section. |
